Descent up to 320 meters underground in an authentic mining shed, meet Count Guido himself, walk through the corridors of the lowest tourist route in Europe, where the powerful, modern mining machines will be running alongside you pass by. These are just some of the attractions that await you at the Guido Mine.
A unique industrial space in its style, full of historic machinery and historic post-industrial buildings. Its main features: interactive exhibitions, a demonstration of the work of Europe’s oldest, still operating steam engine in the Machine room of the Carnall shaft building and regular cultural events. All of those elements are the hallmarks of the Carnall Zone.

Are you looking for a unique place for a business conference, training, banquet or a team-building picnic? We offer unique industrial underground and outdoor spaces within the Queen Louise Adit and Park 12C complex, or within the atmospheric rooms 320 m underground in the Guido Mine. Take advantage of Silesia’s industrial heritage, professional technical facilities and our ability to arrange these venues to create an event that will resonate long after it will take place.
On the ground
Business meeting, training, product presentations in unique industrial spaces? Welcome to the Carnall Zone in the Queen Louise Adit complex. You will find there, among others: the original interiors of the former chain bath and marking room building, the originally equipped compressor and a former guildhall building, the remaining extraordinary technical facilities that once served the Queen Louise Mine. Each interior will be arranged to suit the individual needs. A picnic, or outdoor concert? Why not … the unique, industrial Carnall Zone and the adjacent Surface Zone Park 12C and a Military Technology Park create the perfect space for such events.
Underground
Go 320 meters underground to the Guido Mine and organize an event that will be remembered. Raw mining chambers combined with modern lighting, and professional sound equipment allow the creation of unique conferences, banquets and thematic banquets. We offer comprehensive organizational support, catering and individual event scenarios that will take participants to a completely different dimension.

The voices of women connected to the mining industry. A record of the living memories of miners’ wives, daughters, granddaughters, and mothers, as well as women who directly worked in the industry themselves. The aim is to showcase their unique stories—often overlooked—which are a vital part of shaping our local identity.

Modern digitization techniques
The Museum is actively involved in the European Union’s Just Transition programme. Our goal is to preserve the heritage of “Mining culture” and mining technology. We record memories and collect documents. We are digitizing entire complexes of former mining buildings, which are gradually disappearing from the Silesian landscape.
